Tulsa vs. Houston Prediction
Is No. 13 Houston set to take out a week of frustrations out on Tulsa when the two meet tonight at 7PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Houston is favored at home, as the Cougars are getting odds of -21 points against the Golden Hurricanes. The over/under total for the game is listed at 71.5 points. Houston has won three of the last four against Tulsa, but the Golden Hurricanes are 4-2 against the spread in the last six meetings.
Houston suffered its first loss of the 2016 season last week in a 46-40 loss at Navy. The Cougars are now 5-1 on the year and 2-1 in the AAC while going 4-2 against the spread. Even though Houston gave up 46 points last week, 8 points were scored by the Navy defense and the Houston offense committed three turnovers. Houston is still giving up just 17 points and 272 yards per game this season on defense while the offense is putting up 43.5 points and 502.3 yards per game. Greg Ward Jr. continues to rack up the numbers, as the Houston quarterback has thrown for 1,684 yards and 11 touchdowns while rushing for 272 yards and six scores.

One would assume that Houston is going to be looking to make a point in this game, which I think is the case. The Cougars shouldn’t have lost to Navy last week and I think they will come out angry this week, especially on defense. I think Tulsa will have a very hard time moving the ball in this game. The Houston offense should continue to do what it has done and score almost at will. I feel confident Houston will win big in this one.
