Can South Florida keep their offense moving along when they hit the road to face Temple on Friday at 7PM ET?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, South Florida is favored on the road on Friday, as the Bulls are getting odds of -6.5 points against Temple. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 60.5 points. The home team has won both meetings between these two and they hit the over in both encounters as well.
Bet on South Florida vs. Temple
South Florida is coming off a 42-27 win over Connecticut last week to move to 5-1 on the season and 3-0 in the AAC. The Bulls are 4-2 with the over on the year as well. USF has a very productive offense that it brings to the field. The Bulls are posting 44.1 points and 506.4 yards per game this season, with 268.4 yards coming on the ground. The combo of QB Quinton Flowers and Marlon Mack have combined for 1,247 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns this season while Flowers also has 1,535 passing yards and 13 scores. Defensively, the Bulls could be better, but their 25.9 points and 436.1 yards allowed per game can be somewhat understood given how much their offense moves the ball.
Temple is coming off a 26-25 win at Central Florida last week to move to 4-3 on the season and 2-1 in the AAC. The Owls are 4-3 with the over on the year, hitting it in four of their last five games. The Owls come in with a really solid defense, allowing just 23 points and 316.6 yards per game this season. Their weakness is against the run, however, allowing 150 yards per game. On offense, Temple is averaging just 378 yards per game, but still putting up 32 points per game. Phillip Walker is leading the unit with 1,582 yards passing and 10 touchdowns, but he also has 10 interceptions. Ryquell Armstead has run for 403 yards while Jahad Thomas has 357 yards. The two each have seven rushing touchdowns as well.

The total is set high due to the USF offense, but Temple has a defense that should be able to slow the Bulls down somewhat, especially at home. The Temple offense isn’t a great unit either, as their 32 points per game is a bit misleading. Don’t expect that kind of number in this game, even against a USF defense that gives up a lot of yards. I can see this game being about a 30-27-type game, which leaves them under the total.
