Texas A&M vs. Alabama Prediction

Will Texas A&M hang with Alabama this afternoon when the two SEC teams clash at 3:30PM ET?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the Crimson Tide is now a 17.5-point home favorite over the Aggies after opening as a 17-point fave. As for the total, the number hit the board at 58.5 but has been bet up to 60.5.

The Aggies are 8-19 against the spread in their last 27 conference games and are 18-44-1 at the betting window in their last 63 road games when playing an opponent with a winning home record. They’re also just 7-19 against the spread in their last 26 games played in the month of October and have failed to cover the number in six of their last eight games against opponents with a winning record.

The Crimson Tide has cashed in 10 of 14 games overall and nine of its last 13 games coming off a straight up win. They’re also 4-1 against the number in their last five home games, are 10-2 against the spread in their last 12 games versus a team with a  winning record and are 16-7 ATS in their last 23 games played in the month of October.

OUR PREDICTION: Alabama steamrolled Arkansas and Tennessee on the road the last two weeks and has crushed A&M in each of the last two seasons. That said, Trevor Knight is a threat both with his arm and with his legs and won’t be intimidated by Alabama’s defense after leading Oklahoma to a win over the Crimson Tide in the 2014 Sugar Bowl. The Aggies also boast defensive end Myles Garrett, who has 28 career sacks and is getting healthier each week after suffering an ankle injury just under a month ago. The spread is way too high in what should be a competitive game throughout.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 8 PICK: TEXAS A&M AGGIES +17.5
