Clemson vs. N.C. State Odds
No. 3 Clemson looks for another statement win on Saturday when it hits the road to face N.C. State at 3:30PM ET on ABC.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Clemson is the favorite on the road, as the Tigers are getting odds of -10 points against the Wolf Pack. The over/under total for the game has been set at 51.5 points. Clemson has won three straight over N.C. State, but the Wolf Pack are 4-1 against the spread in their last five against the Tigers. These two have hit the under in four of their last five meetings.
Clemson is 7-0 on the season, 4-0 in the ACC, 4-3 against the spread and 4-3 with the over. The Tigers are coming off a dominant 58-0 win at Miami last week to jump up to third in the rankings. The Tigers are averaging 38.4 points and 465.4 yards per game on offense this season. The defense ranks among the best in the country as it is seventh in scoring (14.3 ppg) and fourth in yards allowed (263.1 ypg). Deshaun Watson has thrown for 1,566 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 332 yards and three scores. Wayne Gallman is the leading rusher with 689 yards and six touchdowns while Artavis Scott has caught 40 passes for 450 yards and four scores.
North Carolina State is 5-2 on the year, 1-2 in the ACC, 5-2 against the spread and 4-3 with the under. The Wolf Pack are coming off a 35-17 win at Wake Forest last week, which snapped a two-game losing streak. N.C. State also has a strong defense, as it is giving up just 16.1 points and 251.1 yards per game. The offense is putting up 35.1 points and 412.4 yards per contest. The offense is led by Matt Dayes, who has rushed for 793 yards and 12 touchdowns, while Jacoby Brissett has thrown for 1,332 yards and 10 touchdowns.
