According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI, the over/under is now sitting at 45 points after the number opened at 49. The side has also moved since it opened, as Alabama went from -8.5 up to a 10-point favorite.

There was some movement early this week in favor of Michigan State, as the line went from 10 down to 9.5. But the spread climbed back to 10 despite 65% of public wagers currently backing the Spartans at the betting window.

Despite the number opening in the high 40s (which is low for college games), it’s not surprising to see the total continue to drop. Alabama has the No. 2 ranked defense in the nation, holding opponents to just 258.1 yards per game while surrendering just 14.4 points per contest. The Crimson Tide has owns the top-ranked run defense in college football this season, allowing just 74.0 yards per game on the ground.

The Spartans rank only 74th in passing yards allowed this season (229.8), but is excellent in every other defensive category. Michigan State is 23rd in total yards allowed (342.9), ninth in rushing yards allowed (113.1), and 21st in points allowed (20.5). Sparty will need to be stout tonight against the run in order to limit the impact of Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry.
