College Football Betting Trends
Virginia Tech
The Hokies are 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games on grass and 1-7 ATS in their last eight following a failed cover.
Duke
Duke is 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 road games and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games in September.
Prediction:
The Hokies have won three straight in this series, covering in the last two meetings. Tech has been able to contain the Duke offense in recent years, holding them to 21 points or less in three straight. Neither team has been terribly impressive in 2018, but the Hokies are at home and their defense has been able to hold up at home. The Blue Devils are likely to struggle to find points while Tech grinds out possessions and keeps the clock running.
College Football Week 5 Prediction: Virginia Tech -2.5
