Duke vs. Virginia Tech Odds
No. 23 Duke looks to stay unbeaten in ACC play on Saturday when it hits the road to face Virginia Tech at 3:30PM ET on ESPNU.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Virginia Tech is favored at home, as the Hokies are getting odds of -2.5 points against Duke. The over/under total for the game has been set at 43.5 points. Virginia Tech has won nine of its last 10 against Duke, but the Blue Devils are 4-3 against the spread in the last seven of this series. These two have hit the under in four of their last five meetings.
Duke is 5-1 on the season, 2-0 in the ACC, 4-2 against the spread and 6-0 with the under. The Blue Devils are coming off a 44-3 win at Army last week for their third straight win. Duke is led by its defense, which is second in scoring (9.3 points per game) and fourth in yards allowed (252.8 per game). On offense, Duke is putting up 31.5 points and 412.8 yards per contest. Thomas Sirk has thrown for 1,260 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the offense while also rushing for 325 yards and two touchdowns.
Virginia Tech is 3-4 on the year, 1-2 in the ACC, 3-4 against the spread and 4-3 with the over. The Hokies are coming off a 30-20 loss to Miami last week and they have now lost three of their last four games. Tech is averaging 29.4 points and 376 yards per game on offense, while the defense is allowing 23.4 points and 348.9 yards per game. Brenden Motley has thrown for 1,155 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead the offense while Isaiah Ford has caught 32 passes for 497 yards and seven scores. Travon McMillian has added 418 rushing yards.
