South Florida vs. Florida St. Odds
The second week of the college football season gets a little bit of an earlier start on Saturday when No. 11 Florida State plays host to South Florida at 11:30AM ET.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Florida State is the clear favorite in this game, as the Seminoles are getting odds of -27.5 points against the Bulls. The over/under total for the game is currently listed at 53 points. These two last met in 2012, with Florida State getting a 30-17 road victory, but USF covered a 16.5-point spread. The Bulls are 4-0 against the spread when allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.
Florida State opened the season with a 59-16 win over Texas State last weekend, covering a 28-point spread while hitting the over of 59.5 points. The Seminoles had a 636-300 yard advantage on the Bobcats in the win, including 266 yards on the ground. Everett Golson made his debut with the team and was impressive, going 19 of 25 passing for 302 yards with four touchdowns. Dalvin Cook added 156 rushing yards with two scores in the win.
South Florida opened the season with a dominant 51-3 win over Florida A&M, covering a 28-point spread while hitting the 39.5 over on its own. The Bulls finished with 556 total yards while holding the Rattlers to just 182 total yards and 12 rushing yards. USF used two quarterbacks and their numbers were similar. Quinton Flowers was 12 of 16 for 141 yards with two touchdowns while Steven Bench was 8 of 10 for 140 yards with one score. Both also had a rushing touchdowns. Marlon Mack led the Bulls’ ground attack with 131 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries.
