Washington vs. Boise State Odds
Chris Petersen takes on his former team at his former home when Washington faces No. 23 Boise State tonight at 10:15PM ET on ESPN.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Boise State is favored at home, as the Broncos are getting odds of -13 points against Washington. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 55.5 points. These two met back in 2013 with Washington getting a 38-6 win at home. The home team has won three straight in this series while Washington has covered in all three meetings.
After Petersen left in 2014, Bryan Harsin took over the program and coached the team to a 12-2 record in 2014 with a 7-1 Mountain West Conference record, which was good enough for the conference title. Boise was 8-6 against the spread a year ago and the Broncos were 10-4 with the over. Boise State has covered the spread in four straight non-conference games. The Broncos have to replace a starting quarterback and running back that were both very productive. Ryan Finley is the new signal caller. He threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns in limited action last season.
Washington was 8-6 last season and 4-5 in the Pac-12 in Petersen’s first year with the program. He left Boise State for Washington after going 92-12 in eight seasons with the team. Washington was 7-7 against the spread and 10-4 with the under in 2014. The Huskies come into tonight having hit the under in 9 of their last 11 September games. Petersen hasn’t said who his starting QB will be. It appears to be down to three candidates, but Jeff Lindquist is the only one with playing time last year. Either way, the signal caller won’t have much experience.
