It was their only road loss of the season as they had rolled Maryland (38-7), Akron (41-3) and Ball State (42-0) in previous road trips. On the season, Temple is second in the country in scoring defense, allowing just 10 points per game. On offense, the Owls are scoring 28.8 points per game thanks to a strong running game that ranks ninth in the nation at 252.1 yards per game. Bernard Pierce has rushed for 951 yards and 18 touchdowns to lead Temple this season.
Ohio is 2-2 in the MAC and coming off a 37-20 win over Akron on Oct. 22. That win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Bobcats. On the season, the Bobcats are scoring 31.9 points per game and allowing 20.4 points per contest. Ohio has a balanced offense behind coach Frank Solich, who once coached at Nebraska. Tyler Tettleton leads Ohio this season with 1,983 passing yards and 17 touchdowns.
In terms of Injuries, Temple offensive lineman Pat Boyle is questionable with a leg injury while Ohio defensive lineman Neal Huynh is questionable with a knee injury.
