Temple vs. ECU Odds
No. 22 Temple debuts as a top-25 team tonight when it hits the road to face East Carolina at 7PM ET on ESPN2.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, East Carolina is favored at home in this game, as the Pirates are getting odds of -2.5 points against Temple. The over/under total for the game has been set at 51.5 points. ECU has won five of its last seven against Temple, but the Owls have covered the spread in four of their last five against the Pirates.
Temple is 6-0 on the season, 3-0 in the AAC, 4-2 against the spread and 3-3 with the over/under total. The Owls are coming off a 30-16 win over Central Florida last week. It was their third straight double-digit victory. The Owls are now averaging 33.7 points and 349.8 yards per game on offense, but the team is led by its defense, which is allowing just 14.7 points and 295.5 yards per game, both of which rank among the best in the country. Jahad Thomas has run for 756 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the tea while P.J. Walker has thrown for 1,063 yards and eight scores.
East Carolina is 4-3 on the season, 2-1 in the AAC, 4-3 against the spread and 5-2 with the over. ECU is coming off a 30-17 win over Tulsa for its third win in four games. The Pirates are averaging 32.1 points and 434.7 yards per game on offense, while the defense is allowing 29.9 points and 426.3 yards per contest. Blake Kemp has thrown for 1,556 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the offense while Isaiah Jones has caught 51 passes for 595 yards and three scores.
