Toledo vs. Central Michigan Odds
The 11th week of the college football season gets underway tonight when Central Michigan hosts Toledo in a key MAC game at 8PM ET on ESPN2.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Toledo is the slight favorite on the road, as the Rockets are getting odds of -4 points against the Chippewas tonight. The over/under total for the game has been set at 54.5 points. Toledo has won and covered the spread in five straight meetings with Central Michigan.
Toledo is 7-1 on the season, 4-1 in the MAC, 6-1-1 against the spread and 6-2 with the under. The Rockets are coming off a 32-27 loss at home to Northern Illinois for their first loss of the year last week. The offense averages 35.8 points and 465.5 yards per game this season while the defense is holding opponents to 18.2 points and 371.4 yards per contest. Phillip Ely has thrown for 1,870 yards and 16 touchdowns to lead the offense while Terry Swanson is the leading rusher with 723 yards and five scores. Cody Thompson is the leading receiver with 23 catches for 491 yards and four touchdowns.
Central Michigan is 5-4 on the year, 4-1 in the MAC, 8-1 against the spread and 6-3 with the under. The Chippewas are coming off a 14-6 win at Akron last week for their third straight win and two of their losses this year come against Oklahoma State and Michigan State. CMU averages 26.3 points and 391.6 yards per game on offense, but has one of the worst rushing attacks in the nation, posting just 95.3 yards per game on the ground. The CMU defense is holding opponents to 21.7 points and 317.9 yards per game. Cooper Rush has thrown for 2,626 yards and 20 touchdowns to lead this offense while Jesse Kroll has 43 receptions for 566 yards and four touchdowns.
