In his final game with Ohio State, will Ezekiel Elliott run wild against Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl?
According to oddsmakers at RealBets, Ohio State is favored in this bowl game, as the Buckeyes are getting odds of -6 points against Notre Dame. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 57.5 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on ESPN. The game will be played from University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
Elliott has been one of the top rushers in the country this season. He has gained 1,672 yards on 262 carries with 19 touchdowns for the Buckeyes (11-1, 5-7 ATS). Today he faces off with Notre Dame (10-2, 8-4 ATS), which has been average against the run. The Irish are 61st nationally, allowing 165.7 yards per game on the ground. Oddsmakers have listed Elliott with an over/under total of 125.5 rushing yards and 1.5 touchdowns in this game.
Elliott has run for at least in every game this year except the 17-14 loss to Michigan State, where he had just 33 yards on 12 carries. He has hit at least 126 rushing yards in five games, including two games with over 200 yards. Elliott also has had multiple touchdowns in six games. Following the loss to MSU, Elliott spoke out at his displeasure with his lack of carries and declared he would be going pro. Following that, he got 30 carries against Michigan and ran for 214 yards. Look for Elliott to get plenty of opportunities against the Irish. Getting to 126 yards should definitely be obtainable.
