Game Preview:
This is the first meeting between these two schools from the state of Florida. The Gators are 8-3-2 against current Big East teams while USF is 10-2 vs. in-state programs. The Bulls have also wont heir last four road openers.
Florida kicked off the season by beating Miami (Ohio) 34-12 last weekend despite posting just 212 yards of offense. The Gators had three turnovers on offense while their defense forced four turnovers from Miami, including a defensive touchdown. Florida quarterback John Brantley was 17-of-25 passing for 113 yards and two touchdowns for the Gators.
South Florida started the season with a 59-14 win over Stony Brook. The Bulls posted 563 yards of offense while the defense held Stony Brook to 254 yards and forced four turnovers. B.J. Daniels threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 23 yards and a score to lead the Bulls.
