Florida State vs. Louisville Prediction

ACC rivals square off at Cardinal Stadium on Saturday afternoon when unranked Louisville hosts 2-3 Florida State at 12:00 p.m. ET. With the total sitting at 61 points, is that number too high for these two teams to cash the over for bettors?

Florida State Seminoles Game Notes

Florida State redshirt freshman QB Jordan Travis (leg) is expected to play Saturday at Louisville. Travis (6’3/195) led the Seminoles to a dramatic 31-28 victory over North Carolina, thanks largely to the efforts of Travis. He was clearly hobbled in the contest, but managed to gut it out to finish the game. HC Mike Norvell indicated Travis was sore after the game but it shouldn’t affect his availability this Saturday when Florida State travels to play Louisville.

Louisville Cardinals Game Notes

Louisville redshirt junior QB Malik Cunningham completed 16-of-18 passes for 134 yards with a touchdown in a 12-7 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday. Cunningham also had 48 yards on seven carries. He briefly left the game after experiencing cramps in his arm and also with a leg injury, but was able to return. The completion percentage was solid, but outside of a long pass to Javian Hawkins on a wheel route where Notre Dame broke coverage, he was not able to get the ball down field. Louisville was considered a sleeper team coming into the season, but they’ve lost four straight and now sit at 1-4. Cunningham (6’1/200) will be back under center next Saturday against Florida State.

Florida State vs. Louisville Betting Prediction

The over cashed in five of the last six meetings between these two teams and is 21-6-1 in the Seminoles’ last 28 games as a road underdog. The over is also 10-4-1 in the Seminoles’ last 15 games as an underdog, is 4-0 in their last four road games and is 8-3 in their last 11 games coming off a win. On the other side, the over is 4-0 in the Cardinals’ last four home games, is 6-0 in their last six games when favored and is 8-2 in their last 10 games overall.
