Florida Gators Game Notes
Florida redshirt senior QB Kyle Trask threw for 256 yards and three touchdowns on 21-of-27 passing in a 34-10 win over Kentucky on Saturday. Trask and the Kentucky offense got off to a slow start, but after falling behind 10-7 late in the second quarter, it was all Gators from that point on. Trask found star tight end Kyle Pitts for all three of his scores, and while it wasn’t one of his elite efforts, it’s another solid performance that sees him improve his TD/INT ratio to a spectacular 34/2. The 6-foot-5, 239-pound signal-caller should have zero issues throwing all over Tennessee next Saturday.
Tennessee Vols Game Notes
Tennessee freshman QB Harrison Bailey “will definitely play” in Saturday’s game vs. Florida according to HC Jeremy Pruitt. Bailey (6’4/224) getting another opportunity to show what he can do after playing well in the Volunteers’ Nov. 21 loss at Auburn should come as no surprise. The question is whether or not the freshman will get to start Saturday’s game against the Gators, with HC Pruitt not offering up any information on that front. In spite of his struggles Jarrett Guarantano has managed to hang onto the starting job for much of this season, but the Vols need to take a longer look at Bailey when it comes to evaluating the potential future of the quarterback position at Tennessee.
