Ohio State still favored to repeat

The first playoff rankings of 2015 have been released and Clemson, LSU, Ohio State and Alabama would play in the postseason if it were to start tomorrow.

Being undefeated didn’t guarantee Baylor, TCU and Michigan State a spot in the top 4, as Clemson is No. 1, followed by LSU at No. 2 and Ohio State at No. 3. Alabama, meanwhile, lost to Ole Miss but still found its way into the top 4. Of course, either Alabama or LSU will have a loss after this weekend due to the two teams playing each other on Saturday.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Buckeyes are still favored to repeat as national champions. Ohio State is 9/4 to win it all, while Alabama is 11/2, Baylor is 6/1 and Clemson is 13/2. LSU and Stanford are both 10/1, respectively, while Michigan State and Notre Dame are 12/1, respectively.

The Crimson Tide are 6.5-point home favorites over LSU for Saturday night’s game in Tuscaloosa. Kickoff is set for 8:00PM ET.
