The Odds

According to oddsmakers from oddsmakers at BetDSI, UCLA is favored in today’s game, as the Bruins are getting odds of -5.5 points against Nebraska. The over/under total for the game has been set at 62 points.

The Records

UCLA is 8-4 on the season, 5-6-1 against the spread and 8-3-1 with the under. Nebraska is 5-7 overall, 6-6 against the spread and 7-5 with the over. These two met in 2013 and 2012, with UCLA winning and covering the spread. These two have hit the over in four of their last six meetings.

The Pick

UCLA should be playing a better opponent, but in the 40+ bowl system, they face a Nebraska team that has won just five games. UCLA has won 11 straight non-conference games and they don’t have to travel far going to Santa Clara. QB Josh Rosen was Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year. Paul Perkins ran for 1,275 yards. UCLA just has a better all-around team and should win with ease. But, Nebraska does have an offense. They showed that against Michigan State, in a 39-38 upset win. Tommy Armstrong Jr. leads the second-ranked offense in the Big 10.
