COLLEGE FOOTBALL FREE PICK: Nebraska is 16-9-2 ATS as a road fave L27. Here’s a big non-conference game. This game will be played in the Rose Bowl. Redshirt freshman Brett Hudley looked decent in his debut in the Bruins 49-24 win over Rice. This will be a much tougher challenge for the Bruins against a powerful Nebraska team led by junior QB Taylor Martinez. The California native returns home after he threw for 354 yards with five TD passes in a 49-20 win over Southern Miss last week. Even if RB Rex Burkhead (knee) can’t go, the Huskers have three solid runners who combined for 177 yards that can do the job. Martinez is still the offense for Nebraska who should be able to slow down UCLA’s improved offense.
COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 2 FREE PICK: NEBRASKA -5
