According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Utah is the slight favorite at home in this contest, as the Utes are getting odds of -4.5 points against the Wolverines. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 46.5 points. These two met last year in Ann Arbor, with Utah getting a 26-10 victory. Utah has won its last two meetings with Michigan despite being a 3-point underdog each time.

Michigan was just 5-7 last season with a 3-5 record in the Big Ten. That performance saw an end to the Brady Hoke reign at Michigan after four years. The Wolverines were just 5-7 against the spread last year while going 7-5 with the under. Michigan comes into this game 0-8 ATS in their last 8 against Pac-12 opponents. Harbaugh has gotten a lot of buzz for Michigan, but the team has a lot of holes to fill on offense, mainly at quarterback. Harbaugh hasn’t confirmed publically who will start, but it seems to be between Shane Morris, who saw limited time in 2014, and Iowa transfer Jake Rudock, who threw for 2,436 yards and 16 touchdowns last year.

Utah is coming off a 9-4 record in 2014 with a 5-4 mark in the Pac-12. It was Utah’s best season in four years as a member of the Pac-12. The Utes were 9-4 against the spread last year while going 8-4-1 with the over. The Utes have covered the spread in 5 straight against Big Ten opponents. Kyle Whittingham is in his 11th season as head coach of Utah, going 85-43 in that span. Whittingham brings a stud running back to the table for tonight’s game as Devontae Booker rushed for 1,512 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2014 and is primed for a push at 2,000 yards this year.
