According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Ole Miss is the clear favorite at home, as the Rebels are getting odds of -28.5 points against the Bulldogs. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 54 points. These two last met in 2011 with Ole Miss getting a 38-28 road victory. The Rebels have hit the under in 7 straight games after a win while Fresno State has went 6-0-1 with the under in its last 7 games after a victory.

Ole Miss started the season last week with a 76-3 win at home over Tennessee-Martin, covering a 39-point spread while going over the 54-point total on its own. The Rebels racked up 662 yards of offense in the win while allowing just 290 yards to UT-Martin. Chad Kelly had a strong debut at starting quarterback, going 9 of 15 passing for 211 yards with two touchdowns. Eugene Brazley led the ground game with 88 yards on just six carries while Cody Core had 80 receiving yards on two receptions.

Fresno State started the season last week with a 34-13 win over Abilene Christian at home. The Bulldogs covered a 20.5-point spread and went under the 58-point total. Fresno had a 442-247 advantage in total yards in the win, but the Bulldogs had three turnovers keep them from really making the game a blowout. Marteze Waller rushed for 154 yards to lead the offense while Zack Greenlee had 156 passing yards with three touchdowns, but was just 14 of 32.
