Richt is in his 11th season with Georgia and coming off a 6-7 record in 2010. The Bulldogs haven’t won at least 10 games since 2008. This season, Georgia brings back 14 starters, including quarterback Aaron Murray, who threw for 3,049 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2010.
According to oddsmakers, Georiga has 25/1 odds to win the 2012 BCS National Championship and 9/2 odds to win the SEC Championship. The Bulldogs have 8/5 odds to win the SEC East Division and an over/under win total of 8.5.

The Bulldogs own five national championships, with the last coming in 1980. In terms of conference title, Georgia has 12 titles. 2005 was the last time Georgia won the SEC title. Murray leads an offense that averaged 32 points last season. He has 55/1 odds to win the 2011 Heisman Trophy, according to oddsmakers. The defense brings back 7 starters from a group that allowed 22 points and 330 yards per game.
Richt has won at least 9 games in all but three of his 10 seasons with Georgia. This season, the Bulldogs have a tough non-conference schedule with games against Boise State and Georgia Tech. In SEC play, Georgia will travel to Tennessee but get the likes of Auburn and South Carolina at home while playing Florida in a neutral site.
Against the spread, Georgia was 5-8 in 2010. The Bulldogs have failed to have a winning record against the spread in the last three seasons and are 61-60-3 against the spread under Mark Richt.
