Georgia moved to 4-0 after defeating UAB in Athens, 49-21. The Bulldogs responded to a scare from South Carolina by putting it on the Blazers, and they’ll now travel for the first time this season. UGA is scoring 41.5 ppg, while passing for 337.5 yards per game, and rushing for 159.0 ypg.
Carson Beck bounced back with a productive outing against UAB, passing for 338 yards, with three touchdown passes, and an additional score on the ground. This will mark the junior QB’s first taste of road action, but if he continues to follow the recipe at quarterback in Athens, he should be able to manage them to another victory. Beck has passed for 1,184 yards with six touchdowns to one interception thru four starts.
Third-year tight end Brock Bowers made his presence felt in the UAB victory with 121 receiving yards and a pair of touchdown grabs.
Auburn Tigers Game Notes
Auburn moved to 3-1 after losing to Texas A&M in College Station, 27-10. The Tigers were unable to hold off the Aggies in the second half, and they’ll now face a tall task here with the defending champions.
Auburn is scoring 32.0 ppg, while passing for 173.3 yards per game, and rushing for 197.8 ypg. Payton Thorne was banged up in the loss to Texas A&M, and it’s unclear which quarterback Auburn will trot out for this stiff test Saturday. The Tigers annually lean on their ground game and defensive prowess, but they haven’t been able to find much success running the football this season. If Thorne is unable to go,
Auburn may turn to 2022 starter Robby Ashford, who at least has experience competing in the SEC.

The Tigers may really have a tough time putting points on the board, and that opens a pair of angles here. The Under will be in play due to the potential one-sided back, but I like trusting Georgia to be great a bit more with the sub-20 point margin. Back the Bulldogs for this SEC battle.
