Georgia vs. Auburn Prediction
Will Auburn ruin Georgia’s undefeated season with a small upset tonight at home, or will the No. 1 Bulldogs continue to steamroll their way into the SEC title game?
ODDSMAKERS LIKE: Georgia. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bulldogs are now a 2-point road favorite versus the Tigers after the game opened as a pick’em. As for the total, the number hit the board at 51.5 but has dropped to 49.

THE PUBLIC LIKES: Georgia. The public loves favorites so they’re not going to back off a favorite that’s 9-0 and laying less than field goal. As of Saturday morning, the Bulldogs are receiving nearly 70% of the tickets.
HISTORICAL TRENDS LIKE: Georgia. The favorite has covered in six of the last seven meetings between these two teams while the Bulldogs are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games versus the Tigers. That said, the home team has covered in eight of the last 10 meetings between these two teams.
WHO WE LIKE: Georgia. Lot’s of cappers are siding with Auburn in this matchup looking to call the small upset. Here’s question for them and you: What have the Bulldogs done this season to suggest betting against them? They rank fourth in the nation in total yards allowed. They’re seventh in passing yards allowed. They’re fifth in rushing yards allowed. They’re third in points allowed, surrendering a measly 11.7 per game.
Oh, and they run the ball down everyone’s fu#$ing throat.
Auburn has a fantastic defense. The numbers for the Tigers are equally impressive on that side of the ball. They too run the ball at will at times. But I don’t trust their offensive line to hold up when the chips are down in the fourth quarter and this team needs to mount one final drive to beat the undefeated Bulldogs. That’s the difference to me here.
Until the Dawgs give me a legit reason to bet against them, I’m not going to. I’ll let all the other smarter players take Auburn looking to predict a small upset in a game that isn’t really a coin flip to me.
