Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes

Georgia redshirt sophomore QB JT Daniels completed 10-of-16 passes for 139 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in Saturday’s 45-16 win over South Carolina. Daniels is really settling in as Georgia’s new QB. After a slow recovery from last year’s knee injury kept him sidelined for the early portion of this season, Daniels has come on strong the past couple weeks. Though Daniels did not have to throw much in this one to get the win, he did still prove himself as aggressive and accurate as he needs to be to really let OC Todd Monken’s offense hum. Surprisingly, Daniels only found star WR George Pickens three times for 25 yards, but expect those two to develop their chemistry over the rest of the year and into next season. Georgia will now gear up to close out the season against Vanderbilt.

Missouri Tigers Game Notes

Missouri redshirt freshman QB Connor Bazelak completed 32-of-49 passes for 380 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Saturday’s wild 50-48 win over Arkansas. Bazelak (6’3/220) didn’t hook up with any of his receivers for a score for the second straight game despite the fact the Tigers offense averaged 45.5 PPG over the past two. The Tigers did rack up 273 rushing yards, 7.2 yards per attempt and five touchdowns on the ground, so Bazelak’s aerial heroics weren’t needed. Still, he did a good job when called upon, and more importantly he did not have any miscues. He’ll look to finish up strong next Saturday as the Georgia Bulldogs invade Faurot Field.

Georgia vs. Missouri Betting Prediction

Both of these teams should be able to move the ball this afternoon in Columbia. The over is 5-1 in the Bulldogs’ last six games overall, is a perfect 4-0 in their last four games coming off a win and is 4-1 in their last five games when they’re favored. On the other side the over is 5-2 in the Tigers’ last seven games played in December, including last week when Missouri racked up 50 points and surrendered 48 in a win over Arkansas.
