Georgia vs. South Carolina Prediction
Georgia is the #1 team in the country and it’s easy to see why. They’ve won both of their games by a combined score of 82-3. They have immense talent on both sides of the ball.
South Carolina lost at Arkansas last week 44-30 and things don’t get any easier for them as they host the Bulldogs at home in a game they’ll be underdogs in.

Georgia Bulldogs Game Notes
Georgia QB Stetson Bennett won the national championship last year. He might be even better this year. Through two games the senior is completing 75.4% of his passes and he’s 8th in the country with a QBR of 88.4 out of 100.
The Bulldogs have plenty of weapons too. Running back Kenny McIntosh is second on the team in rushing attempts and first in receiving yards. Tight ends Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington are the best tight end tandem in the country and should present matchup problems for the Gamecocks.
Georgia’s defense may have lost five players to the first round of the NFL Draft last year, but they still have 6’3” 310-pound defensive tackle Jalen Carter who might have been the best player of them all on that historic defense.
South Carolina Gamecocks Game Notes
Gamecocks QB Spencer Rattler transferred to South Carolina after losing the starting job at Oklahoma. The early returns haven’t been great. Rattler is only completing 61.8 % of his passes and he has a touchdown-interception ratio of 2-3. The real concern is the offensive line. Rattler has already been sacked 9 times in two games, and the Gamecocks as a team are only rushing for 2 yards per carry.
The defense hasn’t been much better as they gave up 200 rushing yards to Georgia State and 44 points to Arkansas. The defense has only generated two sacks and one turnover in their first two contests. That’s going to have to improve if the Gamecocks look to stand a chance against Georgia.

Georgia vs. South Carolina Betting Prediction
Georgia only lost one game all last season (to Alabama) and they avenged it by beating the Crimson Tide in the National Championship Game. The defense might have lost a bunch of starters but it’s still elite. Georgia is leading the FBS in points allowed per game, and they’re 8th in yards allowed per game. I wouldn’t trust Spencer Rattler against a good defense. He’s playing against a great defense this Saturday. I think Georgia rolls.
