Bulldogs keep rolling along
Georgia is coming off a bye week last week, but the Bulldogs picked up a 23-17 win over Notre Dame at home two weeks ago. Georgia is now 4-0 overall, 1-0 in the SEC, 2-2 against the spread and 3-1 with the under.
The Bulldogs are a defensive power, as they are giving up just 10 points and 262.5 yards per game, both of which rank in the top 10 nationally. Offensively, Georgia is putting up 509.2 points and 42.8 yards per game. Both of those stats rank in the top 15 nationally. Jake Fromm is leading the team this year with 788 passing yards and six touchdowns while D’Andre Swift is the leading rusher with 388 yards and three touchdowns. Dominick Blaylock is the team’s leading receiver with nine catches for 179 yards and two scores.
Volunteers struggling
Tennessee is also coming off a bye week, but the Volunteers were soundly beaten by Florida two weeks ago, 34-3. The Vols are just 1-3 on the season, 0-1 in the SEC, 1-3 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total.
The Vols have an offense that has really been struggling this season. They are putting up just 355.2 yards and 26 points per game this year. Defensively, Tennessee is allowing 339.8 yards and 25.2 points per game. Jarret Guarantano is leading the offense with 753 passing yards and seven touchdowns while Ty Chandler has rushed for 282 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Jauan Jennings is the team’s leading receiver with 19 catches for 298 yards and four touchdowns.
College Football Betting Trends
Georgia
The Bulldogs are 5-1 with the over in their last six road games and 4-1-1 with the over in their last six games overall.
Tennessee
The Volunteers are 4-1 with the under in their last five conference games and 13-5 with the under in their last 18 games following a bye week.
Prediction:
These two have hit the under in their last two meetings, both of which were pretty low. Georgia has been able to control Tennessee, especially on defense. The Vols have looked overmatched by the Bulldogs defense in recent years and that should be the case again on Saturday. The Vols have really struggled offensively against opponents of value. Georgia’s offense isn’t the most overwhelming unit, but the Bulldogs like to control the line of scrimmage and they should do that on the road against Tennessee. However, I don’t see the Bulldogs putting up enough points on the road to hit the over. Its realistic to think they could shutout Tennessee and I don’t see the Vols doing much more than 10 points at best.
College Football Week 6 Prediction: Georgia/Tennessee Under 51.5
