Indiana vs. Rutgers Prediction
Despite pulling off the upset last weekend, Rutgers is receiving zero love from oddsmakers on Saturday when it hosts the Indiana Hoosiers at 3:30 p.m. ET. Listed as a 13-point home dog, will the Scarlet Knights cover the spread as yet another double-digit dog?

Indiana Hoosiers Game Notes
Indiana redshirt sophomore QB Michael Penix completed 19-of-36 passes for 170 yards, one touchdown and an interception in Saturday’s 36-35 overtime win over Penn State. Let’s call a spade a spade. Penix (6’3/202) wasn’t sharp for most of the day. But boy did he come up big late, engineering a 75-yard touchdown drive in 1:20 of clock time at the end of regulation and running in the 2-point conversion to tie the game 28-28 and force OT. After PSU opened overtime with a TD, Penix hit Whop Philyor for a 9-yard touchdown. Indiana elected to go for two and the win. Penix extended for the pylon on a scramble. He was ruled in, a call that was upheld on replay to confirm Indiana’s victory. Indiana better not rest on its laurels after this upset win. Next week’s game at upstart Rutgers looks like a potential ambush spot if the Hoosiers come out flat.
Rutgers Scarlet Knights Game Notes
Rutgers redshirt junior QB Noah Vedral completed 18-of-29 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown in a 38-27 upset victory over Michigan State on Saturday. Vedral (6’1/195) transferred from Nebraska in the offseason and beat out incumbent starter Artur Sitkowski for the right to start today against the Spartans. In addition to his passing numbers, the redshirt junior signal-caller rushed nine times for 24 yards and a score. It wasn’t Vedral’s performance that won the game for Rutgers, it was Michigan State’s seven turnovers. The Scarlet Knights only produced 276 yards of total offense, but executed well enough to capitalize on MSU’s myriad of mistakes. The win is Rutgers’ first in their last 21 Big Ten contests. They’ll takes on fellow Big Ten upstart Indiana, who just upset Penn State in dramatic fashion.
Indiana vs. Rutgers Betting Prediction
The home team is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams while the Scarlet Knights have covered the spread in five of their last six home games when facing an opponent with a winning road record. On the other side, the Hoosiers are just 7-17 at the betting window in their last 24 games after accumulating less than 100 yards rushing in their previous game and are winless at 0-8 against the spread in their last eight games as a road favorite.
