Brian Ferentz played for the Hawkeyes from 2002-05. He spent the last four years with the Patriots, serving as tight ends coach last season.
Woods, a former star linebacker at Iowa, played seven seasons in the NFL with Tennessee, Arizona, Chicago and Detroit. He’s served as an administrative assistant at Iowa since 2008.
Iowa now has one coaching position left to fill. The Hawkeyes are looking for an offensive coordinator after Ken O’Keefe left to serve as wide receivers coach with the Miami Dolphins.
