Darboh the key for U-M?
The Citrus Bowl should be a battle of great defenses, but will Michigan have a playmaker at receiver to help lead it past Florida?
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Michigan is favored in today’s game, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -4 points against Michigan. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 39 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on ABC. The game will be played from the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, FL.
The Wolverines (9-3, 6-6-1 ATS) are looking for a signature win for the season and that could come today, but it will take someone on the offense to step up. That someone could be senior receiver Amara Darboh. Darboh has been the leading receiver this season for Michigan, as he has 56 receptions for 703 yards with five touchdowns. Darboh and the Wolverines face a physical test in Florida (10-3, 8-5 ATS), which ranks sixth in the nation in total defense (295.4 ypg) and ninth in passing defense (174.2 ypg).
Oddsmakers have listed Darboh with an over/under of 4.5 receptions and 59.5 receiving yards for this game today. The 6-2, 216-pound senior has went over 60 receiving yards in five games this year, including his last three. He also has 5 catches or more in four games. One of the big questions for Darboh will be how healthy is QB Jake Rudock. He suffered a shoulder injury in the season finale vs. Ohio State, but has proclaimed he will be ready to go today. If Rudock plays, Darboh could certainly have a big game and be targeted often against Florida.
