Jefferson Still Hopes to Start
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – Jordan Jefferson says his goal remains to be LSU’s starting quarterback.
Jordan says he has learned a lot from his recent arrest and four-game suspension that stemmed from an August bar fight.
LSU allowed Jefferson to speak to reporters on Monday night for the first time since the Aug. 19 fight in the parking lot of a bar near campus.

Jefferson was reinstated last Wednesday after a grand jury reduced his felony charge to a misdemeanor.
He played in last Saturday’s home game against Kentucky, scoring a touchdown on a 1-yard, fourth-down sneak.
Jefferson says his status as a local celebrity played a role in his legal trouble, but the quarterback also says he knows he put himself in a bad situation by remaining at the bar during the fight. LSU has maintained that Jarrett Lee is its starter.
