Kent State vs. Georgia Prediction & Odds
Number one Georgia tries to keep its blowout winning streak alive at 12:00 PM ET on Saturday. Can the Bulldogs win and cover the massive spread to improve their ATS record to 3-1?
Georgia is 3-0 with wins over Oregon, Samford, and South Carolina. They’ve outscored their opponents in those games by a score of 130-10. The defending national champion Bulldogs are the best team in the country so far this year.
Kent State gets credit for trying despite their 1-2 record. They’ve lost road games at Washington (45-20) and at Oklahoma (33-3). The Golden Flashes smashed Long Island last weekend, 63-10.

Kent State Game Notes
The star of the Golden Flashes defense has been Khalib Johns. The senior linebacker has 4 sacks and 2 passes defended on the year. He should have his hands full with Georgia’s dynamic passing attack and powerful running game.
On offense, Kent State’s quarterback Collin Schlee is the X-factor. He’s thrown for 508 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions on the year. He’s also a threat in the running game. Schlee has 177 rushing yards through 3 games on the season, and he’s averaging a healthy 7.4 yards per carry.
Georgia Game Notes
Stetson Bennett won the national championship as the quarterback of the Georgia Bulldogs last year. He’s been better this year than he was in 2021. Through 3 games, Bennett has improved his completion percentage, yards per attempt, passer rating, and touchdown pass to interception ratio. His terrific play is a big reason the Bulldogs are leading the country with 8.8 yards per play on the year.
Georgia’s defense is predictably great again this season. They already have 5 interceptions and are second in the country in points allowed per game (5.0). Another state that I found interesting is opponent punts per offensive score. Georgia is #7 in the nation in this statistic, forcing 4.5 punts per opponent offensive score.

Kent State vs. Georgia Betting Prediction
Georgia might be the best team in the country, bar none, but having to cover 44.5 points is a tall order, even for the mighty Bulldogs. They just beat an FCS school, Samford 33-0. Georgia may get a big lead and then call off the dogs. I think there’s more value in the total. Georgia’s defense is as stingy as they come, and they won’t need to pour it on late in the game on Saturday. My best bet is to take the under.
