The Tigers had a very bend-but-don’t-break philosophy on defense, as they allowed 533 yards to West Virginia, but forced four turnovers. For the offense, LSU had 366 total yards, including 186 rushing yards. Michael Ford led the way for LSU, rushing for 82 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns.
Kentucky has lost two-straight games, getting beat 24-17 by Louisville two weeks ago and losing 48-10 to Florida last week. The Wildcats were thoroughly beaten by Florida last week. The Wildcats defense allowed 520 yards of offense, including an amazing 405 rushing yards. The Kentucky offense had a total of 299 yards and committed four turnovers. Morgan Newton led Kentucky in the loss as he threw for 124 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 50 yards.
In terms of Injuries, LSU guard Josh Dworaczyk is out with a knee injury while Kentucky defensive end Collins Ukwu is questionable with a knee injury and running back Raymond Sanders is out until mid-October with a knee injury.
