Kentucky Game Notes
Kentucky’s quarterback Will Levis is a legitimate pro prospect. He threw for 2,826 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions last year. He’s thrown for 1,185 yards 10 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions this season. He had 9 rushing touchdowns last season and he’s already reached the end zone twice on the ground in 2022. He’s a big guy at 6’3” and 232 pounds and he’s a better athlete than you may think at first glance. His leadership was a big reason Kentucky went 10-3 last year and is off to a rousing 4-0 start this year. If Kentucky wins and/or covers this game, it will be because of their quarterback Will Levis.
Ole Miss Game Notes
The Rebels are 4th in the nation with 280.8 rushing yards per game. They have three players averaging over 6 yards per carry in running backs Zach Evans and Quinshon Judkins and quarterback Jaxson Dart. They will likely try to pound the rock with Judkins, who’s their leading rusher with 425 yards and 5 touchdowns on the ground this season. Kentucky will probably bring extra defenders down into the box to try to stifle Ole Miss’s running game. Kentucky is giving up 150 rushing yards per game which ranks 43rd in the nation out of 131 FBS teams. If the Wildcats can force the Rebels to throw, they might make it tough for Ole Miss to win this game by more than a touchdown and cover the 7-point spread.

Kentucky vs. Ole Miss Betting Prediction
This will likely be one of the best games in the early time slot as this is a massive conference showdown between two top-15 teams. It’s worth noting that the last time these two teams played was in 2020 in Lexington and Ole Miss won that game 42-41 in overtime. I don’t think that many points will be scored in this matchup on Saturday (I actually like the under at 54), but I do think it will be a close contest and hard-fought game. Remember, Kentucky has already gone on the road in a hostile environment this year and won a game outright that they were an underdog in. They beat Florida in week two 26-16 under the lights in Gainesville as 5.5-point underdogs. I think the Wildcats have what it takes to keep this game close and possibly even win it outright. In any event, I’ll join the public and take Kentucky and the points.
