Tech a 6-point favorite vs. Illinois

These two actually met back in 2012, with Louisiana Tech getting a 52-24 win over the Illini. Coming into this game, Illinois is going to need its defense to play better than it has most of the season. The Illini are allowing 464.3 yards per game and meeting an offense that is posting 403.8 yards per game. The real issue for Illinois has been stopping the run, as they give up 249.6 yards per game on the ground. It could be a big day for Tech’s Kenneth Dixon, who has rushed for 1,236 yards and 21 touchdowns this year.
