Louisville in the tank
The Cardinals are on a five-game losing streak right now following a 56-36 loss to Wake Forest at home last weekend. Louisville is now 2-6 overall, 0-5 in the ACC, 1-7 against the spread and 5-3 with the over. The Cardinals have hit the over in four straight.
Louisville is really struggling on defense this year, allowing 36.3 points and 438 yards per game. Their run defense is giving up 250 yards per contest. On offense, Louisville is averaging 22.3 points and 348.8 yards per contest. Jawon Pass has thrown for 1,587 yards and seven touchdowns, but also has eight interceptions. Trey Smith is the leading rusher on the squad with only 246 yards and four touchdowns.
Clemson clicking on all cylinders
Clemson is coming off a dominant 59-10 win at Florida State last weekend to move to 8-0 on the season. Clemson has won its last three games by at least 34 points. The Tigers are 5-0 in the ACC, 4-4 against the spread and 4-4 with the over/under total. They have hit the under in all four home games.
The Tigers are nearly flawless on both sides of the ball. Defensively, Clemson is giving up just 13 points and 263.9 yards per game. On offense, the Tigers are posting 44.1 points and 522.6 yards per contest. Running back Travis Etienne has rushed for 845 yards and 14 touchdowns to lead the offense while quarterback Trevor Lawrence has thrown for 1,490 yards and 16 scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Louisville
Louisville has hit the over in four straight conference games, but is 5-1 with the under in its last six games in November.
Clemson
Clemson is 5-1-1 with the over in its last seven games in November, but 11-5-1 with the under in its last 17 games on grass.
Prediction:
There is potential for Clemson to put up over 50 points, but it takes a lot to go right for that to happen in any game, especially a conference contest. The Clemson defense has been dominant the last three weeks and stellar at home. I think the Tigers will really hold Louisville in check. I don’t expect the Cardinals to put up many points, so even if their defense completely falls apart, I still like the under to hit.
College Football Prediction: Louisville/Clemson Under 59.5
