According to the latest oddsmakers, Miami is favored at home, as the Hurricanes are getting odds of -6.5 points against Louisville. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 51.5 points. The public betting currently has 57 percent going on Louisville as the road underdog. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NCAAF Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.
Cardinals grab a win
Louisville has been heating up as of late, winning three of its last four games, including a 28-21 victory over Virginia at home two weeks ago. The Cardinals are now 5-3 on the season, 3-2 in the ACC, 5-3 against the spread and 5-3 with the under.
The Cardinals have been pretty respectable on offense, averaging 32.8 points and 445.8 yards per game. Defensively, Louisville is giving up 31.9 points and 437.2 yards per contest. Micale Cunningham has led the offense this year with 1,009 passing yards and eight touchdowns in limited starts, while also rushing for 313 yards and four scores. Javian Hawkins has rushed for a team-high 887 yards and six touchdowns while Tutu Atwell has 41 catches for 668 yards and seven scores.
Miami rolls past Florida State
The Miami Hurricanes are coming off road wins over Pittsburgh and Florida State the last two weeks. The win over FSU was 27-10 and forced the Seminoles to first their head coach. Miami comes into this game at 5-4 overall, 3-3 in the ACC, 5-4 against the spread and 5-4 with the under.
Miami has a very strong defense. The Hurricanes are allowing just 18.3 points and 290.3 yards per game. Gregory Rousseau has been leading the unit with 34 tackles and 12 sacks. Offensively, Miami hasn’t been the best. The Canes are putting up 26.8 points and 381.7 yards per game. Jarren Williams has thrown for 1,449 yards and 10 touchdowns this year and had over 300 yards last week. DeeJay Dallas is the team’s leading rusher with 547 yards and seven touchdowns while Brevin Jordan is the leading receiver with 35 catches for 495 yards and two scores.
College Football Betting Trends
Louisville
The Cardinals are 6-15 against the spread in their last 21 games overall and 2-7 ATS in their last nine road games.
Miami
The Hurricanes are 5-12 against the spread in their last 17 against a winning team, but 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games in November.
Prediction:
Louisville has won three straight meetings with Miami and the Cardinals have covered the spread in the last five in this series. However, these two haven’t collided since 2014. Both teams are playing with some momentum right now, but I like Miami a little more. The Canes have picked up some tough road wins in recent weeks and their defense is only going to allow so much to Louisville. The Canes like to grind out their opponents and Louisville doesn’t have the defense to play that game. I like Miami to pull away late and cover this spread.
College Football Week 11 Prediction: Miami -6.5
