Following a one-point loss vs. FSU, the Tigers notched four straight wins -including solid performances against Mississippi State and Auburn before being routed last week by Tennessee 41-13. Jayden Daniels completed 32 of 45 for one touchdown and one pick against the supercharged Vols. Daniels also added 38 of his team’s meager 55 rushing yards on a day where very little went right for the Tigers. Though defensively responsible all year, LSU wasn’t prepared for a road barrage from Rocky Top. Luckily for Brian Kelly and company, Florida doesn’t pose the same threat.
Florida Gators Game Notes
The Gators enter Saturday’s matchup with their own 4-2 record. Florida’s best win comes against #20-ranked Utah, although UF doesn’t boast the overall quality seen on their upcoming opponent’s resume. However, the Gators did fare much better than LSU in their 38-33 road loss vs. Tennessee. Last week, UF downed Missouri 24-17. Conservative passer Anthony Richardson completed 8 of 14 for 66 yards and one touchdown and interception. Richardson added 45 of his team’s 231 ground yards on a day where defensive surplus was needed to remain above .500.
