LSU Tigers Game Notes

Jayden Daniels completed 20 of 29 passes for 320 yards, four touchdowns and one interception during Saturday’s 34-31 win against Arkansas. He also had 10 rushes for 36 yards. It was the third-straight game with at least four combined touchdowns for Daniels. He has also thrown for over 300 yards in three of four games thus far this season for LSU. Daniels remains a dark horse Heisman candidate with a likely high-scoring affair at Ole Miss looming next weekend.

Ole Miss Rebels Game Notes

Zakhari Franklin made one catch (on three targets) for 16 yards in Saturday’s 24-10 loss to Alabama. Franklin finally made his season debut Saturday, and he figures to be more and more involved as games progress. His next chance to play will come against LSU on Saturday.

LSU vs. Ole Miss Betting Prediction

LSU has been inconsistent from the jump, but there’s one thing the Tigers can count on and that’s their passing game. Under Daniels, the offense has cranked up 320 passing yards or more in each of their four games. The Rebels surrendered over 300 yards in their win against Georgia Tech and somehow allowed a struggling Jalen Milore to convert 81-percent of his throws in their loss to ‘Bama. That said, Ole Miss has been outstanding against the run. I expect LSU to lean heavily on its passing attack tonight.

Meanwhile, Jaxton Dart and the Ole Miss offense was suffocated by the Crimson Tide defense last week, but should get on track tonight. Florida State was able to convert third down after third down versus LSU in the opening week. Ultimately, I see both offenses coming alive tonight in Oxford.

LSU vs. Ole Miss Prediction: OVER 67.5
