Maryland vs. Indiana Prediction
The Maryland Terps are off to a 2-1 start this season but are double-digit underdogs to No. 12 Indiana on Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. ET. Is Maryland once again a live dog for bettors or will the Hoosiers roll in a rebound spot coming off their loss to Ohio State?

Maryland Terps Game Notes
Maryland has announced that its football program returned to practice on Monday after missing more than a week due to COVID-19 related issues. Maryland has been forced to cancel games against Ohio State and Michigan State due to COVID-19 cases within the program, with eight players having tested positive. Add in the corresponding contact tracing measures that teams have to take, and Mike Locksley’s program didn’t have enough available players for either game. The hope is that the Terrapins will be able to return to action Saturday against Indiana. HC Mike Locksley, who also tested positive for COVID-19, is expected to be cleared to travel with the team and coach this weekend.
Indiana Hoosiers Game Notes
Indiana redshirt sophomore QB Michael Penix Jr. completed 26-of-50 passes for 491 yards with five touchdowns and an interception in a 42-35 loss to Ohio State on Saturday. This was an outstanding football game. With the Hoosiers unable to run the football at all — they had a combined negative one yards rushing when you count in sacks — Indiana put the game in the left arm of Penix (6’3/202) and he nearly did enough to pull off the upset. He found burgeoning star wideout Ty Fryfogle for three of his scores, with Whop Philyor and David Ellis also finding the end zone. The one big mistake was a crucial one; Penix was late on an out pass that was intercepted by Shaun Wade and returned to the house. Still, tough to put the blame on the redshirt sophomore, as he kept Indiana in this game. That’s an understatement, really. The Hoosiers fall to 4-1, and assuming the game is played, will take on Maryland next Saturday.
Maryland vs. Indiana Betting Prediction
With the COVID-related issues that Maryland faced last week and with Indiana coming off the emotional high of preparing for Ohio State, I don’t like the spread. The total, however, does offer some value in my eyes. The over is a perfect 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams and is 6-0 in the Hoosiers’ last six games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game. The over is also 4-1 in Indiana’s last five games overall, is 5-1 in its last five games played in the month of November and is 20-8 in its last 28 conference games.
