Maryland vs. Michigan Prediction & Odds
Number 4 Michigan tries to maintain its winning ways at 12:00 PM ET on Saturday. Can the Wolverines topple their conference foes the Terps as three-score favorites?
Maryland is a bit of a surprise at 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the spread. The Terrapins have beaten Buffalo, Charlotte, and SMU by an average of 21 points per game. This game will be much tougher than any of their previous contests as Michigan is the 4th ranked team in the nation and has been obliterating their opponents.
The Michigan Wolverines are 3-0 straight up and 2-1 against the spread. They’ve vanquished their first three opponents by a combined score of 166-17. They’ve scored at least 50 points in every game so far this year. They’ll be heavy favorites heading into their Saturday morning clash against the Terrapins.

Maryland Game Notes
The Terps’ quarterback is Taulia Tagovailoa. He’s the brother of current Miami Dolphins starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. He had a solid season last year, throwing for 3,860 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He averaged 8.1 yards per pass attempt. He had a hard time against Michigan’s defense in last year’s game, only throwing for 178 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception while completing 57.6 percent of his passes. You could make the case that he’s a better player this year, but just how much better will determine how close this game is.
Michigan Game Notes
The Wolverines lost multiple starters to the NFL Draft this past year, including DE Aidan Hutchinson, S Daxton Hill, OLB David Ojabo, and RB Hassan Haskins. That’s the bad news. The good news is that they still have running back Blake Corum who’s averaging 6.9 yards per carry. They also still have quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy and Cade McNamara. McCarthy seems to have seized the starting job with both hands as he’s thrown for 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions while completing a superb 88.2% of his passes. He’ll face his toughest test yet against the Terps on Saturday afternoon.

Maryland vs. Michigan Betting Prediction
It’s worth noting that these two teams played each other last year in College Park, MD, and Michigan won handily, 59-18. What’s more, Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh is a covering machine. Last year Michigan had the best record in the country against the spread at 11-3 and they had the best ATS +/- as well. Michigan has put up 50 points in every game so far, and I think they’ll continue that trend or come close on Saturday. I’d lean heavily towards the over of 65 if you want to play the total, but I’ll lay the points with Jim Harbaugh and Michigan.
