Miami-Ohio vs. Colorado State Public Betting: Bettors Backing Rams

Gabbert struggles mightily in MAC title loss

Brett Gabbert completed 14 of 25 passes for 127 yards and one interception during Saturday’s 38-3 loss to Ohio. Gabbert was coming off a pretty consistent tear to finish out the season before the conference championship against Ohio, but he got completely shutdown when it was all said and done. The Bobcats’ defense was on locks against the RedHawks, and kept the senior quarterback to just 127 yards. Gabbert will look to finish well as the Miami-Ohio takes on Colorado State in the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl at the end of December.

CSU signal-caller breaks out in finale

Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi was 31-for-46 passing for 370 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in Friday’s 42-37 win versus Utah State. He also had two rushes for six yards with a touchdown. Fowler-Niclosi topped 300 yards passing for the first time this season. The Rams entered the fourth quarter down 30-13 before Fowler-Nicolosi orchestrated four unanswered touchdown drives, leading Colorado State to a 42-37 win and keeping their MWC championship hopes alive. Fowler-Nicolosi, a redshirt sophomore, will finish the regular season with a 62.1 completion percentage for 2,456 yards, 13 touchdowns and six interceptions across 12 games.

Miami-Ohio vs. Colorado State Prediction

Take Colorado State. I’m not sure why the Redhawks are favored, but I’ll gladly take the plus odds with the Rams. Colorado State has issues defensively but that’s negated by Miami Ohio’s inability to move the ball. As Ohio proved in the MAC Championship Game, the Redhawks struggle to move the chains with any consistency. Assuming the Rams are game to stop the run, they should post a victory in a game that could be a rock fight today in Arizona.

Miami-Ohio vs. Colorado State Prediction: Colorado State Rams +115
