Michigan Game Notes
For Michigan, their offense revolves around running back Blake Corum. He has the 6th best odds to win the Heisman Trophy at +1800. Corum is 4th in the country in rushing yards (611) and leads the nation in rushing touchdowns (10). He’s averaging 6.6 yards per carry on the year. Corum has enjoyed a great start to Big Ten play as he’s run for a combined 376 yards and 3 touchdowns in Michigan’s contests against Maryland and Iowa. He’ll likely get a full workload (25+ carries) against the Hoosiers on Saturday. If Indiana cannot slow down Blake Corum, it might be a long day for the home team.
Indiana Game Notes
For the Hoosiers’ defense, the difference-maker has been linebacker Dasan McCullough. The 6’5” 230-pound freshman from Bloomington, Indiana is tied for 2nd in the Big Ten with 4 sacks already on the year. He’s recorded at least one sack in each of the Hoosiers’ last 3 games. McCullough’s fellow linebacker Cam Jones leads the Big Ten in total tackles with 54. Both McCullough, Cam Jones, and linebacker Aaron Casey will have to make their share of big stops on Saturday if Indiana is going to cover this game.

The over is 2-1 in Indiana’s 3 home games so far this year.
Michigan vs. Indiana Betting Prediction
This might seem like a layup for Michigan, but I wouldn’t be so sure. The spread of 22.5 is a big number, especially for an Indiana team who beat Michigan outright in Bloomington in 2020 and lost to the Wolverines in overtime in 2017. I also think this is a look-ahead spot for Michigan. They have a huge game against #10 Penn State next weekend and they may be more focused on that game than on this week’s contest in Bloomington. Indiana probably won’t win this game, but they won’t have to in order to cover the spread. I’ll fade the public and take the Hoosiers and the points.
