Michigan Wolverines Game Notes
Michigan improved to 5-0 after their 45-7 route over the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Blake Corum continued his tear Saturday, recording two more touchdowns versus Nebraska. Corum now has recorded nine rushing touchdowns thru five games. The Wolverines will look to continue their early season tear against Minnesota.
Minnesota Golden Gophers Game Notes
The Golden Gophers snapped their two-game skid with a much-needed home win against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns in week 5. Minnesota was able to run the ball effectively, rushing for over 200 yards as a team. Zach Evans led all rushers with 85 yards on 15 carries. The Golden Gophers will need to be able to control the clock and rush the ball effectively against the Wolverines, if they want any chance to pull off a home upset.
Michigan vs. Minnesota Betting Trends
Minnesota is 4-1 SU in their last 5 home games.
Michigan is 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games.
The total has gone under in 4 of the last 5 games for Michigan.
Michigan vs. Minnesota BETTING PREDICTION
The Wolverines have dominated in each of their first five games on both sides of the ball. Averaging nearly 35 points per game on offensive and only allowing 30 points all year on defense. While I don’t necessarily love laying a big number in a conference road game, I really don’t see how much changes in this one.
The Golden Gophers struggle on the offensive side of the ball, despite a decent showing last week against the Ragin’ Cajuns. They will likely want to control the clock and limit possessions for Michigan on offense, however this is going to be a tough task as Michigan is only allowing 86 rush yards per game on the year.
Minnesota may hang around early here with the home crowd at their back, but Michigan just has to much depth at each position and will ultimately be too much to handle for 60 minutes. Lay the number with Michigan.
Michigan vs. Minnesota Prediction: Michigan -19
