According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Michigan is the favorite on the road in this game, as the Wolverines are getting odds of -14 points against the Gophers. The over/under total for the game has been set at just 38 points. Michigan has won six of its last seven against Minnesota, also covering the spread in all six wins. These two have hit the over in four straight meetings.

Minnesota is 4-3 on the season, 1-2 in the Big Ten, 2-5 against the spread and 4-3 with the under. The Gophers are coming off a 48-25 loss to Nebraska two weeks ago, but the team had a biggest loss this week as Jerry Kill was forced to retire immediately due to health reasons. The coach stepped down on Wednesday after dealing with seizures throughout his coaching career. Tracy Claeys is stepping in as interim head coach. He takes over a Minnesota team that is averaging 20.4 points and 351 yards per game on offense and allowing 23.1 points and 328.7 yards per game on defense. Mitch Leidner has thrown for 1,310 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the offense while Rodney Smith has rushed for 467 yards and a score.

Michigan is 5-2 on the season, 2-1 in the Big Ten, 4-3 against the spread and 5-2 with the under. The Wolverines are coming off a 27-23 loss to Michigan State two weeks ago. U-M lost the game on a blown punt that was returned for a touchdown on the final play. Michigan has the top-ranked defense in the country, allowing just 9.3 points and 210.6 yards per game. The offense is only putting up 28.6 points and 367.6 yards per contest. Jake Rudock has thrown for 1,303 yards and five touchdowns this year, but also has six interceptions. De’Veon Smith has rushed for 436 yards and four touchdowns while Amara Darboh has 28 catches for 332 yards and two scores.
