The Badgers were largely dominated in a 34-24 loss to Michigan State last weekend. John Clay has rushed for 581 yards and six touchdowns while James White has 367 yards and six scores. The defense has held opponents to 301 yards of offense and 22.75 points per game.
Minnesota has lost four straight after beating Middle Tennessee in the season opener. The Gophers have given up at least 29 points in the four losses and are allowing 406 yards of offense per game, including 185 on the ground. On offense, the Gophers have a decent offense, averaging 407 yards per game. Adam Weber has thrown for 1,199 yards and nine touchdowns while Duane Bennett has rushed for 400 yards and two scores.
Trends favor Wisconsin in this game as the Badgers are 4-1 ATS in their last five after a straight up loss and 6-1 ATS in their last seven home games against a team with a losing road record. Minnesota is 1-8 ATS in their last nine games after covering the week before.
Neither team has major injury issues as Wisconsin doesn’t have anyone new listed on their injury report while Minnesota will likely be without defensive back Kim Royston, who has a leg injury and linebacker Mike Rallis, who has an oblique injury.
With just under 5,000 bets placed, Minnesota is actually getting 51% of the public bets plus the 22.5 points against the Badgers on Saturday.
