Mississippi State vs. Alabama Prediction
Fresh off its first loss of the season, will now-No. 6 Alabama circle the wagons with a win and a cover over No. 24 Mississippi State at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night?
Or are the Crimson Tide a poor bet as a three-touchdown favorite over the Bulldogs in this ESPN clash?

Mississippi State Bulldogs Game Notes
Will Rogers completed 25-of-37 passes for 203 yards, one touchdown and one interception Saturday at Kentucky. This was the worst outing of the season for Rogers in terms of passing yards, and the Bulldogs could not run the ball at all on the Wildcats, which did not help balance the offensive attack. The task gets no easier at Alabama next weekend, though the Tide have given up at least 20 points in three-straight games.
Alabama Crimson Tide Game Notes
Bryce Young (shoulder) completed 35-of-52 passes for 455 yards and two touchdowns Saturday at Tennessee. Despite the loss, Young played the entire game for the Tide and had a massive output. The 455 yards passing set a season high, and Young did not appear bothered by the previously balky shoulder. Another shootout looms against Mississippi State next weekend.

Mississippi State vs. Alabama Betting Prediction
This is a large number but Miss State hasn’t fared well in this series. The Bulldogs are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven trips to Tuscaloosa and are winless against the number in their last four games versus the Crimson Tide overall. They’re also 4-9 at the betting window in their last 13 road games when facing an opponent with a winning home record, whereas the Crimson Tide are a perfect 4-0 against the spread in their last four games coming off a loss. ‘Bama is also 17-6 against the number in its last 23 home games and 14-4 against the spread in its last 18 games following an ATS loss.
