Missouri Tigers Game Notes
Missouri senior RB Tyler Badie declares for the NFL Draft. Along with declaring for the draft, Badie (5’8/194) also opted out of Wednesday’s Lockheed Armed Forces Bowl against Army. Throughout the 20221 season, Badie has been the one consistent source of offense for the Tigers. Averaging six yards per carry, Badie ran for 200+ yards on five occasions, gaining 1,934 all-purpose yards and 18 touchdowns on the season.
Army Black Knights Game Notes
Army senior QB Christian Anderson completed 7-of-15 passes for 108 yards, and ran eight times for 71 yards and a touchdown in Army’s 17-13 loss to Navy. Anderson (6’1″/195) didn’t take home the win, but he did take home the biggest play of the day, a massive 56-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Navy’s defense got sucked in anticipating a fullback run, but Anderson kept the ball, made a cut and took a block and then he was off to the races. Unfortunately Navy’s defense really clamped down after that, and Anderson was unable to get much done, leading Army to just two field goals the rest of the game. He didn’t receive much help from his running game, who had 24 carries for 57 yards (not including himself), but Anderson was also 2/8 in the second half passing wise. Army will face Missouri in the Lockhed Martin Arm Forces Bowl on December 22nd for their final game of the season.
