Monday Cross-Sport Parlay: Will Iowa, Missouri struggle to cash first-half over?

Monday Cross-Sport Parlay Monday Cross-Sport Parlay

Will Iowa and Missouri struggle to cash the first-half over in their Music City Bowl matchup this afternoon? Will the Bulls hand the struggling Hornets yet another loss? Can the struggling 49ers at least muster up enough offense to get over their team total? Read on for our Monday Cross-Sport Parlay.

NHL Monday Cross-Sport Parlay: Jets over 3.5 Goals (+108), 7:30 p.m. ET

The Jets are hot entering play tonight with the Predators. They’ve won three straight games by a combined score of 14-4 against the Wild, Maple Leafs and Senators, respectively. They’ve scored at least four goals in five of their last six games, with the lone exception coming in Anaheim on December 18 when they were held to just two goals in a 3-2 loss.

On the other side, the Preds goal prevention has been okay of late, holding opponents to two or fewer goals in three out of their last five games. That said, they just surrendered seven goals in a 7-4 loss to the Blues and have allowed five or more goals in three of their last six games.

NFL Monday Cross-Sport Parlay: 49ers over 23.5 Points (-116), 8:15 p.m. ET

The 49ers have been eliminated from postseason contention but Kyle Shanahan’s offense can still move the ball and the Lions still have major defensive problems due to injuries. The Niners’ offense has had issues due to injuries to Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle throughout the season. Brock Purdy also missed a game in Green Bay back in November, so it’s just been a lost year for Shanahan’s team.

That said, we’re not too far removed from the 49ers hanging 38 points on another NFC North team in the Bears. That Week 14 matchup was also at Levi’s Stadium and while the Lions and Bears are night and day as far as direction of the franchise, the fact remains that Detroit still has major defensive issues. The Lions allowed 48 points to the Bills two weeks ago and surrendered 31 points to the Packers in Week 14. They also allowed 20 and 17 points, respectively, to a Bears team that can’t protect the quarterback.

If this game turns into a shootout tonight, I don’t think 24 points is out of reach for the Niners.

CFB Monday Cross-Sport Parlay: First Half Under 20.5 (-138), 2:30 p.m. ET

At Fanduel, the first half total sits at 20.5 points and the juice is shaded to the under for good reason. Following a successful 2023 campaign and successful offseason that brought in top talent through the portal, Mizzou’s offense never reached its full potential this season. The Tigers didn’t lose a step in the running game thanks to Nate Noel, but Brady Cook battled injuries and inconsistent play despite having a pair of top receivers in Burden and Theo Wease. Now Burden is out today as he prepares for the NFL draft.

On the other side, the Hawkeyes were better offensively this season but that wasn’t exactly a high hurdle to clear. Sullivan is coming back from injury and could be rusty, plus the Mizzou defense is excellent on third downs. Even with their issues on offense, the Tigers can also control the clock with long, sustainable drives.

With the total sitting at just 40 and several bowl games already reaching overtime, I’m not risking the full game under. But I’ll gladly take advantage of the number that Fanduel is giving us on the first half under.

CBB Monday Cross-Sport Parlay: TCU-Arizona under 145.5 (-115), 8:00 p.m. ET

According to ESPN’s BPI metric, the Wildcats’ offensive rating is 9.2, which ranks just below Texas Tech (9.6) and Houston (9.7) and is fourth overall in the conference. So why the under tonight? Because Arizona’s defensive ranking is 9.5, which also ranks fourth in the Big 12.

Tonight the Wildcats host a TCU team that, at least from an advanced metrics standpoint, has the worst offense in the Big 12. That said, their defensive rating is a respectable 8.6. Thus, they should be able to withstand Arizona’s offensive pressure at times, without threatening offensively themselves.

NBA Monday Cross-Sport Parlay: Chicago Bulls -5 (-110), 7:10 p.m. ET

The Bulls’ opponent tonight is the Charlotte Hornets, who have been horrendous of late. They did cover as a 13.5-point underdog versus the Thunder in their last game, but are just 3-7 at the window in their last 10 games. They’ve also lost nine out of 10 straight up, which includes their current seven-game losing streak.

The Bulls have been shaky themselves. They did beat the Bucks 116-111 as a 2-point underdog three nights ago, but that snapped a three-game straight up and ATS losing skid. However, Chicago is also 8-2 against the spread versus the Hornets, winning seven straight meetings with Charlotte straight up.

5-Leg Cross-Sport Parlay Odds: +2463 (Fanduel Sportsbook)
