Nebraska Cornhuskers Game Notes
Marcus Washington (hand) will be available for Thursday’s opener against Minnesota, Jacob Padilla of Hail Varsity reports. Washington, who has been limited during fall camp after suffering a broken hand during the summer, is “ready to play” according to head coach Matt Rhule. The 6-foot-2 senior appeared in all 12 games with the Cornhuskers last season, totaling 31 receptions for 471 yards and one score, and he should be a top target again in 2023.
Minnesota Golden Gophers Game Notes
Darius Taylor is expected to be part of a four-man running back rotation early in the 2023 season, Ryan Burns of 247Sports reports. Taylor was mentioned alongside Sean Tyler, Zach Evans and Bryce Williams as backs who are all likely to see some work early in the 2023 campaign. Whether or not the freshman continues to see carries as the season rolls along could depend on how he produces early in the year, but Taylor looks set to at least get a shot at it.

Nebraska vs. Minnesota Betting Prediction
This number is too high. The Cornhuskers are undergoing a transition under new head coach Matt Rhule, but they have an experienced offensive line, a stout running game and a QB in Jeff Sims who can make plays with his legs. They could easily win the time of possession battle while not exposing their defense. Minnesota is also going through a transition after losing quarterback Tanner Morgan and running back Mohamed Ibrahim from last year’s team. Give me the points.
